 There is a long list of Akshay Kumar upcoming movies that will be releasing this very year or the next year, 2019.

1. Padman (9 February 2018)

The movie is based on the real-life story of Arunachalam Muruganantham who invented the concept of pads in India and went through really difficult times throughout his life. The film is directed by R. Balki and was set to hit the screens on 26^th January 2018 but later the makers of Padmaavat asked Akshay Kumar to postpone the date of their movie, so now it is all set to release in 9^th February 2018.

2. 2.0 (Robot Sequel) (27^th April 2018)

2.0 is one of the highest budget films in India with a budget of around Rs. 350 crores. The movie is a sequel to Rajnikanth’s Robot which was also a science fiction movie and stared Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along. Akshay will be playing the role of Villain in the film. The film is directed by Shankar and produced by Subaskaran. Also, it is been shot directly to 3D for which the training is taken by the director from Hollywood industry.

3. Gold (15 August 2018)

One of the most awaited film from Akshay Kumar upcoming movies that is based on true life incidents and is a sports drama film. Set to 1948 this film will be telling the story of first Olympic gold medal won by India as a “Free Nation”. The tagline of this title is “The drama that united a nation”. Director of this movie is Reema Kagti and is produced by Ritesh Sidhavani & Farhan Akhtar.

4. Crack (11 August 2018)

The film is directed by the director of some of the best movies of Akshay Kumar, like Special 26 (2013), Baby (2015) and Rustom (2016) that is Neeraj Pandey. Crack is a psychological thriller movie that will be very much near to the hearts who love thrillers just like Special 26 and other movies from the director.

5. Five

After the direction of movies like Mary Kom (2014) & Sarabjit (2016), Omung Kumar was working on this project from a long period of time and now he has finally came up with a project named as “Five” which will be an action-thriller movie and will be releasing this year. The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Sandeep Singh and the director Omung Kumar himself.

6. Ikka

After a huge success of movie Holiday, A.R. Muruigadoss is producing another movie with Akshay Kumar named as Ikka and this is a remake of Tamil debut in the industry with Ikka. In this upcoming film of Akshay Kumar, he could be seen in the double role as well because the script of the movie is being edited just like the north Indian audience.

7. Land of Lungi

Land of Lungi is also a remake of south Indian movie “Vivegam” in which Akshay will be seen in the role of previous leading actor Ajith Kumar’s role. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiawala and direction will be done by Farhad Samnji. This will be an action-packed film.

8. Kesari

Kesari is a war-drama film that is based on bravest fought in India, The Battle of Saragarhi which will be directed by Anurag Singh. In Kesari Akshay Kumar is seen in the look of a Sardar who looks brave enough to rule a country. The film is produced by director himself and Karan Johar along. It is said that Parineeti Chopda may be seen in the leading role as wife of Akshay Kumar. This is an action packed movie that is why a Hollywood stuntman, Laurence is being haired for the actions to be performed by Akshay Kumar.

9. Housefull 4 (25 October 2019)

Housefull film series is well known for all the comedy-drama in a film and appreciated by the audience. After the 3 successful movies in a series it is confirmed by the director that Houseful 4 will be releasing in 2019. This is confirm that Ritesh Deshmukh and Akshay Kumar are leading the film, Jacqueline Fernandez may also join the heroes. The movie is directed by Sajid Khan.

10. Baby 2

After the huge success of all the suspense thriller movies like Special 26, Baby & Rustom Neeraj Pandey will be making Baby 2 after the release of movie Crack with Akshay Kumar as in a leading role. This movie will be sequel to 2015 film baby and is said to be release in 2019.

11. Mogual

Makers of Jolly LLB 2 will be making this movie Mogual will be a biographical drama based on the life of Gulshan Kumar who was the founder of well known music label T-series and also he directed a movie in his life time. Akshay will be playing lead role of Gulshan Kumar in the film which is produced by Sudesh Kumar and Directed by Shubash Kapoor.
